Mentions of North Africa tend to conjure up a specific mental picture in the minds of Western tourists – a picture replete with camels, Islam, and desert robes. Though Morocco is more than this, it does, indeed, have all these things. And unlike other parts of the Arab world currently gripped by conflict or dealing with the aftermath of war throughout the early 21st century, Morocco is largely stable.
